Yes, you can adjust your licenses at any time. In our Standard Edition, you have the flexibility to increase or decrease the number of licenses as needed. In our Enterprise Editions, you can switch plans to accommodate 500, 1,000, or unlimited user licenses.
Yes, every user who needs access to view reports requires a Webdashboard license. The only exception is for the Financial Administrator role, which does not require a license but is limited to managing the financial aspects (subscription) without access to reports.
Please note that our licenses are not tied to individual users, so you can swap users in and out as needed.
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Since payment is made upfront, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, even after cancellation.
Trial:
No, there are no limitations compared to the paid version.
In most cases, you'll need to activate your Power BI Pro trial for your publishing account. Sign in to app.powerbi.com with your publishing account, activate the trial, and then try publishing again.
Storage
This depends on whether you go for Enterprise or Standard licensing. If you choose Standard, you make use of shared capacity with other Webdashboard customers. It is hosted on Microsoft Azure in North Europe, specifically Northern-Ireland. If you choose Enterprise, you bring your own capacity, meaning you decide where to host.
Power BI License:
If you go for Standard Webdashboard, we take care of your license - so you don't have to buy any license! You get a Power BI Pro license, which is coupled to your Webdashboard Publish Account. You use this account to publish reports to your Webdashboard environment. You and your users don't need any other Power BI licenses.
If you already have an existing paid Power BI environment, you can either choose to only use Webdashboard and get rid of your licenses - saves you money ;). Or you can go for Webdashboard Enterprise. You can add Webdashboard on top of your existing environment.
Webdashboard utilizes Microsoft's Power BI Embedded licensing structure, which allows sharing Power BI reports without requiring each user to have a Power BI license. Microsoft recommends using Power BI Embedded for sharing reports outside your organization. The only challenge is that you need to develop your own portal to view those reports. That's where Webdashboard comes in—we've built the portal for you, enabling you to share reports with anyone using just their email address.
On the backend of Webdashboard, there are Power BI Embedded servers. Every customer that chooses for 'Standard' Webdashboard licensing, makes use of this shared capacity. Everyone gets a piece of this capacity, and a license that goes with it.
White-label:
Yes, you can fully white-label our portal. Additionally, you can customize the portal with your own domain, including using a subdomain like dashboard.mycompany.com
to align it with your brand.
No, there are no additional costs for white-labeling. You’ll simply pay for the licenses as you normally would, with no extra fees for customizing the portal.
